Nethack is without question the best game ever. Unfortunately, I'm not very good, having completed the Gnomish Mines, solved Sokoban and explored the Medusa's lair only a handful of times. No ascensions, no Quests, and only one trip over the castle drawbridge in 'wizard mode'. Despite my total inability, I'm still totally addicted and have collected a few links that I find indispensable while playing. Coming soon.. some hints on how *not* to play.. ;-)

btw, this page is also routinely out of date. (I recently completed the quest and finished the castle). I do keep the spoiler links below up to date as much as possible (and I'm still a bad player).

In any case, here are some of the nethack sites I find useful:

1. The Official Nethack Site.
2. The Nethack Index. Doing a better job at indexing useful links than I have..
3. Sascha and Ralph's NetHack site. This one includes a spoiler search engine.
4. Yet Another NetHack Site. Nicely indexed spoilers. I find this site very helpful for weapon and armour selection.
5. Ali's Nethack Page. Pointers to patches, source diving cross-reference and some Slash'Em stuff.
6. Erebus/ Nethack Index. I haven't the time to explore all these links.. (oops, that's a repeat.)
7. Eva Myers' extensive archive of spoilers.
8. Maniac's Ascension Guide is without question the best overall strategy spoiler I've seen. Lots and lots of tips with cross-links to the relevant spoilers for deeper info.
9. Here is a site dedicated to rogue-like games on the Palm.
10. My nethack stats. Note, I recently upgraded to 3.4, which this script doesn't support. btw, the script is courtesy Sascha Lüdecke.
